Engaging in a Timely Manner on Social Media

We have talked about posting relevant content and using social media properly. Now there’s one other main factor that goes along with this that needs to be considered: timely responses.
Millennials are becoming the focus of most marketing strategies. Businesses are realizing this generation has taken over as the largest generation ever. And with this comes a unique way of targeting them. They have proven to be a constantly engaged and technological-savvy generation that knows nothing other than instant gratification from growing up in a fast-paced society with everything readily available at their fingertips.
This translates directly into social media and conducting business via your different profiles. Once you are properly set up and posting relevant content at appropriate times, you must be prepared to tackle the next hurdle. While it might not seem very important, responding to posts, direct messages, and comments immediately is essential to your business. It could mean the difference between signing a new client and losing business to a company who was quicker to respond.
For better or worse, consumers want the best possible service at all times. Responding quickly shows you are paying attention, plugged in, and ready and able to provide the service they seek.
Find a response time you can commit to and stick to it. Set up alerts on your business social media profiles so you know exactly when someone has reached out to you. These alerts can be modified so you just receive updates when someone is engaging with you and avoid the constant news feed updates. Be able to provide relevant information as well as take the conversation off-line.
